From noon to 8 p.m. the bottle shop will have various beer and wine tastings, including Deep River, Gizmo, Empire and Mims, as well as food samplings from fast food eateries like PDQ and Chipotle. Then, from 8-10 p.m. there will be live music provided by Tom Bruehauser from Blueprint Brewery.An all-day raffle ($1 tickets, which benefit Carolina for the Kids) will culminate with prizes from Fullsteam, Durham Bulls and more! In addition, the first 100 people through the door get a free koozie.
The shop is located at 3219 Watkins Road, Suite 200, just off U.S. Route 15-501. Bottle 501 offers unique beverages from local North Carolina breweries and wineries, as well as from across the nation and around the world. In addition to the wide bottle selection, Bottle 501 also invites guests to enjoy a drink in the shop’s relaxed lounge, with 16 beers and wines on tap and more than 550 beer bottles available from more than 20 countries. Guests can also use the on-site 32-ounce Crowler machine to take their favorite beers home with them in an aluminum alternative to the traditional glass growler.
